Storyline: A Good Day to Die, Hoka Hey (2016) The story of Jason P. Howe, a conflict photojournalist. This documentary film is about the realities of working in an exciting yet perilous job. A journey of self discovery of a man whose passion for photography led him on dangerous adventures to some of the most hostile places on the planet. Jason spent the last decade covering breaking news on the front-lines of the most important conflicts of recent times including Iraq, Afghanistan and Lebanon. He has also worked extensively covering the internal conflict in Colombia, publishing his first book; COLOMBIA: Between the Lines. Jason provides real insights of the stories behind the pictures and what it takes to get them published. His poignant journey exposes the physical and emotional impact of love, loss, friendship, suffering, disillusionment and bravery to survive and record the human condition at war through the eye of his camera for the world to see. Jason P. Howe's images have graced the pages of The New York Times, The London Times, UK Telegraph, Esquire and Rolling Stone magazine to name a few and his images have won numerous international awards. He has been exhibited at Visa Pour L'Image and the Annual festival of Photojournalism, solo shows in Asia and in group shows in New York City, Washington, Los Angeles and elsewhere in the US. Jason won the prestigious UK Editors' Guild Award - The SABMiller Photographer of the Year and the Photo Essay Award for his powerful conflict shots in Afghanistan.
